Cambridge International Systems, Inc., has a full-time Business Systems Manager opportunity based in Lexington, KY. Qualified candidates for this job must possess a current DoD Secret security clearance. This position is contingent upon contract award with an expected start date of April 1st, 2025.
ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Provides expertise in the formulation of systems scope and objectives related to the business plan and industry requirements. 
  • Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats. 
  • Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems, such as production and inventory control systems, financial tracking systems, call center management and human resources systems.
  • Works independently or as a member of a project team responsible for providing technical guidance related to the business implications of the application of various systems. 
  • Devises and/or modifies procedures to solve technical problems related to computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. 
  • Creates detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
Required QUALIFICATIONS
The BSM serves as the Consequence Management Support Center Site Director's primary advisor on all information technology, cybertechnology, and cybersecurity matters.  The BSM is responsible for a team of four (4) IT professionals, and:
  • All IT related processes and equipment used in support of CoMSupCen including integration and maintenance of all software and hardware.
  • Maintaining an operating Microsoft based websites in support of CoMSupCen operations and ensuring that the websites are operational at all times outside of scheduled server maintenance. 
  • Configuring the Maximo database and website to produce recurring reports as requested by local staff to support internal processes and reporting requirements established by NGB and contractor team members.
  • The support of an unclassified Local Area Network (LAN) with controlled access protection and ensuring that it is fully operational at all times except for server maintenance.
  • Full network service availability during the working days and hours specified
  • Continually monitoring the network to identify and resolve network issues to avoid service interruptions.
  • Acting as a senior database administrator and providing direct customer support including design and population of databases in an open system-compliant structure.
  • Acting as the cybersecurity expert of the Center and will provide advice and recommendations on how to best secure the Center's IT infrastructure from malicious and malign actors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of professional software development, computer engineering, or systems administration experience. 
  • Proven experience as a team lead/manager of IT support teams. 
  • DOD 8570-01M certification, IAT Level II or better (e.g. Security+ CE).
  • Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
  • Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
  • May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
