We are currently seeking a Logistician to support operations in Location, with an opportunity to travel to locations such as Stafford, VA. This is a full-time, CONUS position requiring an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
What You’ll Do As a Logistician, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive logistics support by managing equipment tracking, documentation, inventory audits, and configuration data, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure lifecycle sustainment and compliance with contractual requirements that serve U.S. government missions. You will:
Provides support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to meet contractual reporting requirements. Coordinate cross functionally with engineering and implementation resources and reports to lead project logistician.
Develops requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals; tracks logistics materials; reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment; documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support lifecycle of product.
Provide updates to tracking documentation for hardware to include part number, serial number, IUID, model, software version, warranty.
Develop software support matrix to document all software installed on hardware and software versions.
Compile OEM documentation for system specific deliveries to include handbooks, troubleshooting guides, administrative guides, configuration guides.
Perform interim inventory audits of material onsite located at USMC Base Quantico.
Generally requires knowledge of the Federal Supply System as well as automated and manual supply systems and equipment serviceability standards and criteria.
Support Return Material Authorization (RMA) process as needed and engage vendors to quote replacement hardware, software or configuration services.
Create work products for IUID workbooks for onsite customer reference.
What You’ll Bring Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
BS + 5 to 7 years of relevant experience
Technical Expertise:
Career level with a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts.
Working under only general direction and is able to meet deadlines as required by the schedule. Develop and keep up to date Cambridge enterprise processes and procedures for Logistics Management including Government Property Administration.
Establish and maintain Cambridge shipping accounts with various shipping carriers and freight forwarders.
Development and update Key Support Documents to meet documentation deliverable requirements.
Standard desk/computer work with flexibility for walking and movement on site
Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
