Cambridge International Systems, Inc. has a full-time MECM Systems Administrator opportunity available based in Key West, FL. Qualified candidates for this job must possess a current DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.


We provide enterprise-wide IT services in support of US Southern Command’s (SOUTHCOM) mission critical operations throughout their Area of Responsibility (AOR), which consists of Central America, South America, and select countries in the Caribbean. SOUTHCOM is headquartered in Doral, FL.
SOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) is working to deliver and operationalize information technology (IT) services for all US SOUTHCOM combatant command constructed networks. These constructed networks span the US SOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). Work performed under this Task Order directly provides US SOUTHCOM a defensible, secure, modern, and efficient IT infrastructure across all combatant command constructed networks.
We have an opportunity for an MECM Systems Administrator to work in support of SOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES). This position supports SOUTHCOM's transformative move to a Zero Trust Architecture in alignment with the DoD Zero Trust Strategy and Executive Order (EO) 14028.

ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES 

  • Responsible for systems administration, operations, maintenance, and associated activities of platforms installed throughout the USSOUTHCOM, enterprise.
  • Ensure the operation of the enterprise meets defined service levels and serves as the contractor’s service owner for service solutions.
  • Utilize MECM to provide security patches, vulnerability patches, hotfixes and other updates to user workstations and servers.
  • Administer MECM software delivery, including various methods such as running advertised programs, machine targeted, user targeted, Application Library, and Software Center.
  • Manage and administer MECM client health, including the process of getting clients healthy
  • Provide expertise with PowerShell for custom reporting.
  • Develop advanced technical solutions for the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.
  • Troubleshoot highly complex system hardware and software issues.
  • Develop implementation plans for software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
  • Perform In Place Upgrades as needed for servers and laptops.
  • Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
  • Ensure workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions.
  • Lead efforts to ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
  • Conduct advanced hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure. compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Develop performance and security plans for computers that meet the needs of network users.
  • Evaluate existing systems and plans long-term strategies.
  • Responsible for applying security principles, practices, and procedures under the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to maintain compliance with applicable security regulations.
  • Provide support to other teams including the 24/7/365 Joint DoDIN Operations Center (JDOC) teams.
  • Collaborate with other teams to implement changes while following the established change management processes.
  • Ensure the resolution of Tier 3 hardware and software problems and coordinate as needed for vendor tier 4 support.
  • Recommend technical solutions for Enterprise Infrastructure management, design, and operations.
  • Develops training materials on the proper use of hardware and software (TTPs, SOPs, KAs, etc).
  • Other duties as required.

Required QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
  • Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.
  • 5+ years of experience with managing enterprise IT teams in geographically separated locations supporting Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of servers (physical and virtual), Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, etc), collaboration tools (SharePoint, Teams, Jabber), virtualization technology, software applications, scripting, SANs, and computer security in an enterprise.
  • Strong technical skills in MECM, including device management, application management, and software updates.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with Windows deployment, patch management, and system imaging.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and keeping up to date with the latest MECM technologies and best practices.
  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience) with 5 + years of experience.
  • DoD 8570 compliant
  • IAT Level II or III Baseline Certification.
  • Computing Environment (CE) Certificate.

DESIred QUALIFICATIONS
  • Microsoft Administrator Certification (MCSA, MCSE, DP-300, AZ-104 etc.).
  • IT Service Management Certification (ITIL v4).
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • In some occasions, overnight travel may be required.

  • Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
