Cambridge International Systems, Inc. has a full-time Cloud Engineer opportunity available based in Kaiserslautern, Germany (Kelly Barracks).  

Qualified candidates for this job must possess a current DoD Secret security clearance and be eligible for DoD Top Secret clearance, NATO Indoctrination, and meet TESA accreditation requirements.  ***TESA Certification allows employees the to be tax exempt for both Germany and US, in addition to other great perks***

ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES
Looking for a highly qualified Cloud Engineer to support of USAFRICOM. This exciting role will be critical in the architecture, deployment, and operations of multiple cloud environments supporting USAFRICOM based in Microsoft Azure.

  • Provide design, engineering, and operational support to multiple cloud based environments.
  • Analyze services to determine viability to migrate to the cloud and develop roadmaps for execution
  • Migrate, maintain, and support Cloud computing environments and continuously create improvements to enhance the durability, performance, and maintainability.  
  • Architect solutions to meet mission and IT requirements, ensuring technical viability of new solutions and successful deployments, while orchestrating key resources and key Infrastructure technologies, and leveraging Application Development and DevOps technologies as appropriate. 
  • Perform as a subject matter expert (SME) for Cloud, Cloud enterprise system administration for new IT or software concepts, Active Directory, Storage Area Network appliance, Directory Service replication, Authentication services, Role Based Access Control (RBAC), Group Policy troubleshooting and Public Key Infrastructure; server virtualization technologies; server monitoring tools; as well as other related classes of on-prem and Cloud technology such as storage and clustering, data protection, and application platforms. 
  • Develop and support of Cloud identities, synchronization of identities to multiple Cloud providers, and administration and management of Cloud identities and licenses.
  • Analyze Cloud security requirements to determine if proposed and/or designed security solution(s) meet DoD Cloud security requirements considering information impact levels (ILs) and Cloud computing service models to include SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • BA/BS + 5 years recent specialized or AA/AS +7 years recent specialized or a major cert + 9 years recent specialized or 11 years of recent specialized experience
  • Extensive experience supporting Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
  • Experience in systems infrastructure design, support, and administration
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 in a hybrid environment.
  • Azure AD, storage, and compute including Application Proxy (NDES), Storage Account, Virtual Machines, Virtual Desktop, Backup, Automation, and Functions
  • Azure identity management including SSO (SAML), OAuth, MFA, RBAC, PIM, conditional access, monitoring / alerting, device registration, identity protection, and hybrid identity management / AD connect.
  • Azure networking including ExpressRoute, VNet, Virtual WAN, VPN, NSG, Load Balancer, BGP, routing, and firewall concepts (Palo Alto, etc.)
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams of diverse IT related skill sets.
  • IAT-III Level Certification (CISSP, CASP+ CISM, etc)
  • Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate or Developer Associate
  • Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.
  • Must possess an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ansible and Infrastructure as Code programming skills
  • Advanced automated script design, coding, debugging, and maintenance skills (using bash, python, etc.)
  • Experience in CI/CD toolsets (e.g. Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, etc)
  • Experience with Containerization (Docker) and Container Orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • Active Passport.
  • In rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.

Office setting:
  • Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
  • Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
  • May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
