We are currently seeking an Engineering and Integration Manager to support operations in Riverside, CA, with an opportunity to travel to locations such as Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. This position is contingent on contract award, with an expected start date in September 1st, 2026. This is a full-time, CONUS/OCONUS position requiring an active DoD Secret clearance.
The base salary range for this role is $123,968 to $179,523 annually, depending on geographic location and experience. The final offer will be based on relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and market data.
What You’ll Do
As an Engineering and Integration Manager, you will play a critical role in designing, building, securing, and operating software solutions that support mission success and operational excellence across Federal Government organizations. Seeking an Engineering and Integration Manager to provide full-time, on-site leadership supporting the CBP Air and Marine Operations Center. This role is responsible for overseeing the integration, engineering, and modernization of C4I systems, ensuring seamless interoperability across AMOSS, ISR, and telecommunications environments while aligning system enhancements, upgrades, and operational capabilities with mission priorities and performance requirements.
You will:
- Bullet Lead engineering and integration activities across AMOSS, ISR, and telecommunications systems
- Oversee system integration efforts to ensure interoperability across C4I platforms and environments
- Manage engineering teams responsible for system upgrades, enhancements, and modernization initiatives
- Coordinate integration of new technologies, sensors, and communications capabilities into existing infrastructure
- Ensure system configurations, baselines, and changes are properly managed and documented
- Provide technical direction for troubleshooting complex system integration issues
- Support planning and execution of technology refresh and capability expansion efforts
- Collaborate with Government stakeholders to align engineering priorities with mission needs
- Ensure compliance with configuration management, security, and quality assurance requirements
- Support testing, validation, and deployment of integrated system capabilities
- Coordinate across operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure seamless system performance
Required Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; experience may substitute
- 10 years of relevant work experience
- Technical Expertise:
- Experience supporting maintenance and sustainment of C4I, AMOSS, or ISR systems in operational environments
- Experience troubleshooting complex system issues across hardware, software, and network components
- Experience working with mission equipment, maintenance tools, and COTS systems
- Experience using diagnostic and test equipment to identify and resolve system faults
- Demonstrated understanding of operational requirements and ability to apply technical procedures in mission environments
- Managing and directing advanced C4I engineering and integration activities across the team
- Evaluating, analyzing, redesigning, and enhancing C4I user interfaces using C, C++, GTK, and Google Protocol Buffers
- Evaluating, analyzing, designing, redesigning, and enhancing C4I and sensor-based air and maritime data systems using C and C++
- Overseeing and validating system wiring diagrams and data flow technical documentation
- Overseeing and supporting updates to maintenance manuals and other contract-required documentation
- Leading the development and sustainment of C4I ancillary systems
- Demonstrating supervisory and management experience in engineering, communications, and/or computer-related fields
- Certifications:
- Must have a current and active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Proficient with modern IT tools and infrastructure technologies
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Project management tools such as MS Project or equivalent
- Collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint
- Travel, both CONUS and OCONUS by motor vehicle and/or air travel may be required; some overnight stays possible.

- Must have an active passport to support OCONUS travel and/or living requirements.
- Compliance with vaccination and medical requirements for TDY/OCONUS roles as per Vaccine Recommendations by AOR | Health.mil.
- This position requires working in a stressful environment, dealing with conflict, working under pressure and with strict deadlines, focus and attention to detail
- Primarily an office-based role in Riverside, CA
- Standard desk/computer work with flexibility for walking and movement on site.
- Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
- Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
- May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
