Cambridge International Systems, Inc. has a full-time Systems Engineer III opportunity available based in Charleston, SC. Qualified candidates for this job must possess a current DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES
Systems Engineer Overview
Also known as Lead Systems Analyst, Network Engineer who can program, or Software Engineer who can manage networks
Oversees the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance
Integrates network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices
Duties & Responsibilities
Manages the development cycle of software, hardware, and web applications, including: Specification, Design, Coding, Testing, Maintenance
Role in Systems Engineering ensuring all pieces fit together to create a cohesive whole
Focuses on both technical aspects and big-picture concerns
Considers factors such as cost, schedules, and social issues related to the project
Required QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.
7 years of IT professional experience overseeing the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance.
Experience in integrating network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices through: System specification, Design, Coding, Testing, Maintenance support
Ability to evaluate the overall project design, considering: Cost, Schedule, Social issues associated with the project
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
In rare/some occasions, overnight travel may be required.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Cambridge International Systems complies with Temporary Duty Station (TDY)/Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) vaccination requirements. If this position requires OCONUS travel (listed above), Vaccine Recommendations by AOR | Health.mil lists applicable current vaccination requirements by location.
Office setting:
Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
