We are currently seeking a Training Lead to support operations in Virginia Beach, VA. This is a full-time, CONUS position requiring an active DoD Top Secret/SCI.
The base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on geographic location and experience. The final offer will be based on relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and market data.

What You’ll Do

- Manages the activities related to various training and educational programs for an organization.
- Studies and identifies individual or group training needs, and administers plans, procedures, and programs to meet training needs.
- Develops a variety of training aids and materials.
- Keeps informed of new training methods.
- Determines appropriateness of contracting with outside vendors to accomplish organization's training goals and objectives.
- Analyzes training program effectiveness and submits reports and recommendations to management.
- Prepares and approves budgets and travel plans.
- Recruits, hires, trains staff, evaluates employee performance, and recommends or initiates promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.
- Monitors surveillance systems, alarms, and video equipment in the global security operations center (GSOC).
- Manages the activities related to various training and educational programs for an organization.
- Studies and identifies individual or group training needs, and administers plans, procedures, and programs to meet training needs.
- Develops a variety of training aids and materials.
Required Qualifications:
Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.
- Education & Experience:
- BS degree and 5 years of experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
- Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope following detailed instructions.
- Technical Expertise:
- Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.
- Ability to establish confidence and credibility with managers and senior level Navy leaders and the ability to foster open communications within teams.
- Ability to demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Proactively manages projects with no supervision, resolving action items, issues and risks.
- Manages the client’s Assessment, Qualification and Training program.
- Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel.
- Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
- Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments.
- Coordinates with and assists the client’s site leads in the day-to-day execution of their Training and Qualification program.
- Aids in the preparation of required site assessment documentation.
- Participates as member of an assessment team to fully and accurately evaluate client system requirements.
- Utilizes various information system inspection tools to audit systems, analyze potential vulnerabilities, and identify mitigation approaches.
- Reviews program and site documentation and provides recommendations to client leadership.
- Develops, implements, and manages positional qualification standards for the client’s 24x7 watch standers and system engineers.
- Creates and submits deliverables accurately and on time.
- Conducts routine project status meetings with Government Project Managers and Cambridge's project team.
- Works with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables (SOPs, design documents, systems assessments) are satisfactory, clear, and concise, prior to submitting to the Government.
- Facilitates or participates in the creation of document deliverables, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Analyses of Alternatives, Project Status Reports, Project and System Design Reviews, etc.
- Works closely with Navy and Cambridge Management to continually improve enterprise processes and promote compliance with industry best practices such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
- Works closely with Cambridge's Program/Project Manager to identify project challenges and risks while offering alternatives to achieve success.
- Ensures project deadlines are kept and ensure tasks remain within project scope.
- Reports on Project Performance to Government and Contractor Program Managers.
- Manages Stakeholders Expectations through routine communication and status meetings.
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and Visio.
- Clearance:
- Must have a current and active DoD Top Secret/ SCI security clearance.
- Up to 30% travel; overnight stays likely.
- Periods of prolonged sitting and/or standing, including desk-based computer work.
- Travel between work locations, including company offices, customer sites, and government installations.
- Occasional extended work hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed.
- Work is performed in a secure facility where personal electronic devices (including Bluetooth- or Wi-Fi-enabled devices) may be restricted.
- Work may be performed in industrial or potentially hazardous environments, including around heavy machinery and moving equipment.
- Communication with team members, customers, and stakeholders through verbal and written methods.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work under deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Interaction with others in dynamic environments, including situations requiring problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Compliance with applicable medical or travel requirements for certain assignments, including domestic or international travel, as required by governing authorities.
- Compliance with vaccination and medical requirements for TDY/OCONUS roles as per Vaccine Recommendations by AOR | Health.mil.
