Cambridge International Systems, Inc. has a full-time Cybersecurity Engineer opportunity available based in Charleston, SC. Qualified candidates for this job must possess a current DoD Secret security clearance.
ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES
The ideal candidate will have experience with RMF (Steps 1 & 2) and preferably others as well. These positions support Cybersecurity efforts in engineering and A&A, as well as independent activity and technical team leadership of Cybersecurity efforts, to include: HBSS support, ACAS support, test scripting, testing, reporting, STIG hardening, bringing systems to IAVA compliance, and documenting SOP's or other security artifacts.
From a technical perspective, the primary technologies worked with will be either MS Server, Linux and related products, Cisco related products and Cybersecurity tools. However, at times testing and engineering could include Oracle, PL-SQL, MS-SQL, IIS, Apache etc. It is not expected that the candidate have all of these skill sets, but experience across a spectrum of technologies and/or Cybersecurity efforts is highly beneficial.
- HBSS experience required.
- Experience for implementing and mapping RMF lifecycle to project lifecycles.
- Experience with the following publications NIST 800-53/A, NIST 800-37, CNSS 1253, NIST 800-60 Rev I&II, ECSM series.
- Development of SCTMs, POA&M’s, Vulnerability Reports and CSSP tool implementation highly preferred.
- Categorization experience and familiarity with assisting stakeholders evaluate risk and develop Concept of Operations artifact(s) to develop various ATO packages.
- 3+ years of compliance testing experience.
- 3+ years of Windows Administration or Engineering experience.
Required QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance.
- MCP, MCITP, MCSA, MCSA on Windows 2000 or higher.
- DoD 8570.1-M Security+ required; CISSP, CASP+ or similar IAT lvl. III.
- Some demonstrated experience either operating, administering, or testing Linux.
- Experience with EMass & MCCAST (and other software tools).
- BS/BA in related field.
- Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- In some occasions, overnight travel may be required.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, both CONUS and OCONUS.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Cambridge International Systems complies with Temporary Duty Station (TDY)/Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) vaccination requirements. If this position requires OCONUS travel (listed above), Vaccine Recommendations by AOR | Health.mil lists out applicable current vaccination requirements by location.
- Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
- Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
- May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
