Cambridge International Systems, Inc., has a full-time Cyber Security Engineer opportunity based in Charleston, SC. Qualified candidates for this job must possess a current DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret.

ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES

Monitor, analyze, and detect Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks under general supervision.
Assist with integrated, dynamic Cyber-defense, coordinate and maintain security toolsets to support organizations’ continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization programs, establish a framework by which cyber risk can be measured and quantified in the marketplace.
Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues; preparing cost estimates.
Experience preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policy, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements. Experience may include plan, implement, upgrade, and/or monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network; assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies; ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure; and respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports.
Verifies security systems by developing and implementing test scripts.
Maintains security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting training programs.
Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and integration of a DoD IA architectures, systems, or system components for use within computing, network, and enclave environments.
Ensure that the architecture and design of development and operational systems are functional and secure.
This include designs for program of record systems and special purpose processing nodes with platform IT interconnectivity.

Required QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to lead a team of cyber security professionals and direct tasking and provide mentorship and leadership.
Experience with the RMF Process.
Experience with policy and RMF artifact development.
Experience web-based applications designed to support the RMF and A&A such as eMASS and MCCAST.
Desire experience with HBSS.
5+ years experience in the field
Develops technical solutions to complex problems.
Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
CISSP or CASP+ certification

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to travel up to 25% to 50%. In some occasions, overnight travel may be required.

Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
